Algonquin College Provides Training in the Adventure Tourism Industry

The Ottawa Valley has become a training ground for the adventure tourism industry. Nestled near the world famous Algonquin Park and the raging white water of the Ottawa River, Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley has taken advantage of the natural landscape of the region to train tomorrow’s adventure tourism entrepreneurs.

Having launched its highly successful Outdoor Adventure Program in 1999, the college now offers Adventure Naturalist and International Tourism and Eco-Adventure programs.

The popularity of the programs has drawn students from across Canada. When they arrive in the Ottawa Valley they will experience the true beauty of the region while experiencing the practical elements of the adventure tourism sector while earning a college diploma.

Whether it’s white water rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking or wildlife viewing, students participate in the most exhilarating college programs on earth.
